Binary Inlet

The binary inlet system is a component located upstream of the wet grinder. It combines separate liquid streams within the system in such a way that they come into contact with one another only at the mixing point.

Application:

  • Bitumen and water phase in the bitumen processing industry
  • Resins and hardeners in plastics processing
  • Polyurethane foam (isocyanate and polyol)
  • Two-component adhesives
  • Addition of additives to lubricants and coolants

Benefits:

  • High process reliability
  • Optimal metering of individual liquid components
  • Optimized reaction or mixing quality
  • Reduced system contamination

By combining the streams at a later stage, preliminary reactions between the individual material streams are prevented, such as undesirable reactions, deposits, or curing. This enables controlled and immediate mixing or a chemical reaction.
