Binary Inlet
The binary inlet system is a component located upstream of the wet grinder. It combines separate liquid streams within the system in such a way that they come into contact with one another only at the mixing point.
Application:
- Bitumen and water phase in the bitumen processing industry
- Resins and hardeners in plastics processing
- Polyurethane foam (isocyanate and polyol)
- Two-component adhesives
- Addition of additives to lubricants and coolants
Benefits:
- High process reliability
- Optimal metering of individual liquid components
- Optimized reaction or mixing quality
- Reduced system contamination
By combining the streams at a later stage, preliminary reactions between the individual material streams are prevented, such as undesirable reactions, deposits, or curing. This enables controlled and immediate mixing or a chemical reaction.
